- High difficulty routes contest consists of serie of routes that require stand by or rope belay. Belay is to be arranged by contestants themselves.
Preliminarily, the contest duration is set as 6 hours. - Only registered Climbing Marathon participants can take part in the contest.
- High difficulty route rules are similar to general Marathon rules.
Climbers attempting a route for the first time have priority in the queue.
A judge-observer marks completion of the route in the route protocol and in the contestants’ card.
- Results for the are recorded based on the sum of points earned for the routes completed:
(route points) = 1000 / (number of climbers completed the route).
In case contestants earn the same points then they are arranged according sum of the "bonus" points depending on order of route completion:
(bonus points) = (route points)/(order by the route copmletion by the contestant).
- High difficulty contest winners (as well as 2nd and 3rd place holders) among men and women are awarded with valuable prizes.
